The intellectual competition “Knowledge Contest – 2026”, organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy and the 145th anniversary of maritime education in Azerbaijan, was successfully held on April 28, 2026, at the Academy’s second academic building.
The contest was organized in accordance with the approved regulations, and 11 teams representing various specialties and levels of study at the Academy participated. The intellectual competition consisted of selection, semifinal, and final stages, and played an important role in assessing students’ professional knowledge, developing analytical thinking skills, and strengthening teamwork abilities.
According to the final decision of the jury:
- 1st place – “We are winners” team
- 2nd place – “Volfram” team
- 3rd place – “Kompas” team
At the end of the competition, Eldar Gojayev, Acting Rector of the Academy and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and International Relations, awarded the winning teams with diplomas and cash prizes, while other participants received certificates. A commemorative photo session was also held.
In his speech, Eldar Gojayev noted that such intellectual competitions play an important role in the development of students’ knowledge and skills, as well as in the formation of a healthy competitive environment at the Academy, once again demonstrating that ADA trains highly qualified specialists with strong analytical thinking abilities.
The event concluded with the performance of the official anthem of the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy.
