The participants of the international conference “Baku Decides: 1st Youth Climate Negotiations” visited the Port of Baku
Today, 60 participants of the “Baku Decides: 1st Youth Climate Negotiations“ conference, consisting of young experts and officials, were given information about the Port of Baku, the first “Green Port” of the region.
The participants of the meeting were informed about the strategic location of the Port of Baku, the latest technological innovations applied in the port, and the comprehensive environmental projects implemented for the protection and development of the environment.
At the same time, the guests were given information about the port’s history, its stages of development, and its role in the country’s economy. Afterwards, the guests got acquainted with the work process at the terminals and received answers to their questions.
It should be noted that representatives from Türkiye, USA, England, Moldova, Russia and several other countries are represented at the international conference organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports between January 29 and February 1. This platform brings together representatives of local and foreign government institutions and non-governmental organizations operating in the fields of environment, ecology, agriculture, energy and climate change, providing an effective opportunity for useful discussions.
