The overhaul of the supply vessel “Gubadly” owned by Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), has been completed. The vessel was repaired at the “Bibi-Heybat” ship repair yard.
During the repair, the main engines, windlass and mast, pumps, air chambers, piping systems, watertight doors, portholes, hatches and ventilation covers, necessary electrical equipment were repaired, the PPO beam was repaired and tested, and defective areas of the wooden floor on the main deck were repaired.
In order to improve the living conditions of personnel, the necessary repairs were carried out in the dining room, sanitarily facilities, rest room and cabins.
In addition, the oar shaft, steering device, bottom and side fittings, tread devices were repaired, and after the completion of cleaning and painting of the ship, the protective wheels on both sides were replaced.
The ship was equipped with a new speed measuring device, an antenna for two stationary UQD radio stations, modern Cospas-Sarsat EPIRB equipment, 3 UQD rescue radio stations, 2 gyro spheres for the gyrocompass, radio navigation equipment was checked and repaired.
After completion of the work, the vessel was taken out for sea trials to check the mechanism and electrical equipment in motion. “Gubadly” was returned to service after successfully completed tests.asco.az
