Geotechnical Supervisor
Expected work duration: Rotational Schedule with 28 days Of rotation
Expected scope duration: 2-3 month (Potential hire period from the beginning of May)
Professional Experience: 10 years in the geotechnical industry, 5 years of similar work as contractor in various positions, 4 years of Client Representative position in similar work for international clients
Qualifications: Engineering diploma or equivalent
Deployed Technologies: Onshore: top push CPT, geotechnical drilling down to 30 m depth with: SPT testing, downhole push sampling, triple barrel coring, trial pits by means of an excavator, down to 2m depth, offshore: seabed CPT o piston gravity cover, box corer, on-deck, in the box soil testing, onboard lab
- Assess relevance and adequacy of scope of work based on findings
- Anticipate any possible issue, engage with contractor
- Assist and advise Contractors
- Closely cooperate with CONTRACTOR during site supervision of campaigns, validation of survey deliverables and associated design criteria
- Closely collaborate with GEO specialists to ensure consistency of the acquired data with the patrimonial database and proper archiving
- Ensure SOW performed as per contract requirements and as per COMPANY standards
- Review CPT plots, sample descriptions and soil logging
- Ensure all contractual specifications, norms and standards are complied
- Verify and sign off delivered quantities on a daily basis
- Report in detail within Company as per defined reporting line
- Liaise with the UXO Consultant
- Liaise with the permitting specialist
- Write a detailed supervision report
- Demonstrate exemplary behavior with regards to HSE rules and requirements
- Ensure implementation of the HSE rules and requirements within his/her perimeter of responsibilities and that all the activities are performed with the highest level of consideration to HSE risk management
- Participate in external safety reviews with 3rd party stakeholders if necessary
