Drilling of first well from ACE platform to commence in coming days – bp’s vice president

The drilling of the first well from the “Azeri Central East” (ACE) platform, which is being built in the “Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli” (ACG) block of fields located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, will commence in November 2023, Colin Allan, bp’s vice president finance for the Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye (AGT) region, said at the SPE Annual Caspian Technical Conference held in Baku today, Report informs.

According to him, the work on the ACE project is being continued, and the drilling of the first exploration well will be started in the coming days.

Up to 300 million barrels of oil are predicted to be produced during the operation period of the project.
