Position: Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Reporting to the Lead Instrument Engineer, the main functions of the role will be the execution of project work, in accordance with PD&MS and / or Project Procedures within the man-hour, cost budgets and project schedule targets.

Key duties:

Review /comment on P&IDs

Liaise with client, other engineering departments and vendors as required.

Input into estimate preparation

Progress reporting

HAZOP / HAZID /SIL Participation

Review /comment on construction workpacks

Review /comment on other disciplines’ documents

Preparation /checking of I/O schedules, datasheets, specifications, Vendor SoWs (DCS, SIS,F&G, PLC), etc

Preparation /checking of Technical Bid Evaluations

Review /comment on FAT / SAT procedures

FAT attendance(in person or via Teams)

Responding to site / engineering queries

Offshore flowline design experience preferred

Willingness to attend site (offshore Caspian Sea) would be seen as advantageous

Providing guidance to the instrument design function

Coaching and mentoring of less experienced engineers as required

Previous experience / knowledge of BP Caspian Sea assets, procedures and software is seen as an advantage

Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite.

About You

Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs.

We’d like you to have a degree in a relevant subject and significant previous experience in detail design with an understanding of other disciplines.  You need to have some experience and an interest in working with AutoDesk products.

There will be the opportunity to work in other locations, both on and offshore so candidates may need you to travel and hold the relevant certification to do so.
