Position: Lead Directional Driller – GFE-DD (DX)

Minimum 10  years related field experience.  At least 6-8 years in equivalent or level down position.

Degree qualified: University Diploma /relevant experience

Lead Directional Driller – GFE-DD (DX):

GFE-DD              (DX)      performs            directional         drilling

services and promotes the Schlumberger D&M culture. GFE-DD (DX) plans, executes, and manages all phases of a directional drilling job to deliver services that meet client expectations and D&M standards. He/she also provides technical support to clients and other D&M crew members at the wellsite. GFE-DD (DX) is partially responsible for the training and development of any subordinate while at the wellsite.

I.             Manages personal development and keeps

informed on current Schlumberger D&M technology and strategy

2.            Responsible      for          training,              coaching             and

mentoring less experienced DD’s following the equip training program.

3.            Comply with competency requirements.

4.            Meets and maintains all minimum OFS Safety Training Coefficient (STC) requirements as well as job related STC.

5. Reviews and appraises the performance of subordinates, consistent with performance objectives, and determines the need for additional training in a fair and consistent manner
6.            Mentors less experienced personnel.

7.            Has required proficiencies for the services relevant to the job, must pass special training regarding Radiation Safety during work with radiation sources and must be certified competent as Lead Engineer as per the D&M equip standards.

8.            Has all required trainings regarding Lithium battery safety during work with lithium batteries.

9.            Be aware of local Emergency Response Plan.

10.         Leads any directional drilling job

11.          Fully responsible for pre-job planning (equipment and personnel) and mobilization

12.         Demonstrates knowledge of all DD techniques and all surveying methods used in the location.

13.          Develops expertise on advanced well planning techniques using DOX

14.         Documents all Incident / accident events on the job or/and at the office in Quest.

15.          Assists clients by providing solutions for drilling issues.

16.         Prepares end of well reports / client’s final product delivery.

17.          Acts as the D&M – client focal point for drilling operations at the rig site.

18.         Effectively manage inventory and supplies required at the -■Piell site.

19.         Maintains good communication with the Client’s well site representative, rig crew and D&M field support staff

20.         Actively participates in Knowledge sharing

21.         Ensures all D&M reporting requirements are fulfilled accurately and on a timely basis

22.         Follows up failures with the maintenance team and ensures failure reports are closed with clients.

23. Follows and complies with all Schlumberger SQ, HSE and IT standards, wears all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
