The “Ali Mustafayev” vessel was commissioned upon being overhauled

“Ali Mustafayev” tanker belonging to the Offshore Fleet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) was overhauled.

The works carried out at “Bibiheybat” Ship Repair Yard have been completed on time and to an accomplished standard.

The main and auxiliary engines, anchor windlass, compressors, oil and water coolers, air cylinder fittings, various purpose pumps, separators and piping systems of the vessel were repaired during the overhaul process.

Alongside this, power management and protection systems of the vessel generators and  mechanisms were repaired. Necessary inspection and repairs have been carried out on the main  and emergency lighting systems.

A new type of MW/SW (medium wave / short wave) radio station, emergency radio beacon, emergency radio stations, GPS equipment, speed measuring device were installed on board the vessel. Moreover, the Public Address Unit (PAU) of the vessel was repaired.

Bottom areas were cleaned and machinery painted in the engine and boiler rooms and rudder gear room of the vessel.  A total of 3200 tons of water capacity tanks were cleaned and painted.  In addition, the necessary repair and renovation works were carried out in the mess room, toilet facilities, restrooms and cabins to improve the living conditions of the crew.

Whereas, the bow thruster, bottom and side fixtures and other protective fixtures were repaired during the dock repair process. Apart from that, damaged metal covers and protective metal belts have been replaced in the under water and above water parts, as well as in the ballast tanks and main deck of the tanker.

The vessel passed all trials successfully completed. The tanker “Ali Mustafayev” has now been placed at the disposal of sailors.
