POSITION TITLE: ONSHORE PROJECTS MANAGER
Key Work Functions:
- Define project engineering scope of work, deliverables and requirements, based on Contract scope of work, relevant Company specifications and other governing documents.
- Deliver an efficient level of productivity and produce high quality results whilst managing the onshore team in the operation;
- Ensure client satisfaction throughout the contract, building successful relationships with client and creating a client focused atmosphere with the team;
- Establish a design basis for all disciplines at the start of a project, including a common engineering area where all documentation, specifications and other relevant design documents are communicated.
- Providing project support such as Site Management, Inspection oversite/Management
- Monitoring the progress of the construction and commissioning, cooperating effectively with the yard and overseeing Company’s site team
- Lead, coordinate and manage the discipline groups and the engineering deliverables quality level to avoid non-value-added work to optimize man hours spent on projects.
- Ensure the safe, effective and successful implementation and delivery of engineering projects.
- Being accountable for the identification, mitigation and management of risk on the assigned project. Ensure that the risk management process is followed, and the risk register maintained as a live document throughout execution.
- To mentor, coach and train staff in work processes and values to have consistency across project.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science or engineering, or demonstrable experience in Project Management within the Oil and Gas Sector;
- Demonstrable experience in the oil, gas, petrochemical or associated process industries: min 10 years of professional experience at leadership/supervisory level with a proven experience of working with offshore and onshore teams in Oil and Gas sector;
- Strong project-based delivery experience; strategic thinking; oral and written communication skills;
- Proven track record of project delivery within a drilling services environment and preferably experience of large scale projects, managing multiple parallel streams;
- Strong experience of client relationship management preferable for the provider perspective;
- Excellent organizational and planning skills;
- Great interpersonal skills, strong influencing skills and experience of working in a matrix environment;
- Strong leadership qualities and self-motivated, used to working autonomously with little supervision;
- Excellent negotiation & communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with both business and technology stakeholders at any level;
- Formal project management qualifications: clear and concise project tracking and reporting (this includes but is not limited to weekly status reporting, action item tracking, regular project plan maintenance, metrics reporting, budget reporting, etc.).
