The overhaul of the crane vessel “Shirvan-2” was completed

The overhaul of the crane vessel Shirvan-2 of the Offshore Fleet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has been completed. The overhaul was carried out at “Bibi-Heybat” Shipyard.

The ropes with a lifting capacity of 40 tons were replaced during the overhaul of the vessel. Besides, the routine maintenance of the main and auxiliary engines, pumps, piping systems, sanitary facilities and electric motors was performed.

During the dock repair of the ship “Shirvan 2”, damaged underwater and surface sections of the hull were replaced, painting work was completed. Along with this, the propulsion and steering complex, ground-side reinforcement, and tread installation were repaired.

“Shirvan 2” has been lifted on the dock to replace the damaged underwater and surface sections of the hull. The painting work was also completed. In addition, the propulsion and steering complex, depth-side reinforcement, and protection units were also repaired.

After completion of the work, testing of the crane of the vessel with a lifting capacity of 100 tons were carried out. The tests were completed successfully. Then the vessel was released for sea trials to check the mechanisms and electrical equipment while functioning. After successful completion of the sea trials, the vessel was delivered to the representatives of Register classification.

The length of the vessel “Shirvan2” is 98.55 meters, width – 17 meters. The vessel is equipped with main engines of 2×2400 horse power.
