JOB OBJECTIVE:

Execute structural discipline engineering activities within budget and schedule, while maintaining technical integrity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

 Required to assist Nationalised Drawing Office in Structural Fabrication drawings for Topside / Drilling Contract.

 Essential to have a strong background in a Structural Fabrication Drawing Office.

 Liaise with National Section Leader & Fabrication Engineering Co-ordinator, with Structural Related Thought Process.

 Assist in the forward planning of work scope, to highlight fabrication drawing requirements.

 Assist with Materials requirements required by the Company  Assist with Weekly Report, and data required.

 Daily monitor of Draughtsmen and Checking of drawings.

 Assist in identification of problems and raising SEQ’s.

 Ensure draughting work is completed within the allocated hours and in accordance with the programme.

 Identify CAD software problems to the Fabrication Engineering Co-ordinator.

 Participate and contribute in Project personnel development programs.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:  Engineering Manager  Discipline Personnel  Project Engineers

External:  Client personnel

LEVEL OF INFLUENCE & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:

As delegated by Project Manager in accordance with Competency Assessment.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:  To have a professional qualification (e.g. Degree / HND / HNC)  To have at least 15 years suitable experience within the oil, gas industry, preferably with extensive experience working in fabrication yards.  Specialist in the use of P6 , MS Project and other Planning / Reporting Software

Minimum Experience:  Minimum 12 years of post-University / College experience  5 years of offshore construction industry related experience

Job-Specific Skills:  Demonstrates a strong commitment to Safety.  Delivery focused and committed to achievement of project / company goals.  Ability to interact with management / personnel at all levels – committed team player.  Confident and ability to work on own initiative.  Demonstrate an understanding of local cultures and a willingness to work alongside the national labour force.  Aligned to the concept of nationalisation, through the development of national team members.
