First oil production in “Karabakh” field in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea will be started in 2025, APA-Economics reports citing SOCAR’s annual report.
According to the report, drilling works in the KPS-№4 appraisal well were completed in the “Karabakh” field in March of 2020, and results are currently analyzed.
It is noted that drilling of 12 wells in the depth of 180 meters of the sea and construction of 20 mine deep water foundations are considered in the “Karabakh” field.
“First oil extraction from the field is considered to be obtained in 2025 relevant to the updated table,” noted in the report.
