Oil production in Kazakhstan in January-April decreased by 11%

In January-April 2021, Kazakhstan reduced oil production by 11% compared to the same period in 2020 – to 23.959 million tons, reported the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Gas condensate production decreased by 3.8% to 4.138 million tons. In four months, the country produced 7.636 billion cubic meters of natural gas in a gaseous state (a decrease of 5.3%) and 10.614 billion cubic meters of associated petroleum gas (a decrease of 13%).

The production of gasoline, including aviation, for the reporting period increased by 5.7% – up to 1 million 547.1 thousand tons. Diesel fuel output increased by 5.2% and amounted to 1 million 573.3 thousand tons, fuel oil – by 33%, to 988.3 thousand tons.

According to statistics, Kazakhstan in January-April reduced coal production by 1.3% – to 37.519 million tons.

Electricity generation in the country since the beginning of this year has increased by 4.8% and reached 40.143 billion kWh.
