Cargo transportation through Baku-Tbilisi-Kars increased by nearly two times


“While in the first quarter of 2020, volume of cargo transportation through Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway was about 78 thousand tonnes, this indicator has reached 154,836 tonnes in the first quarter of this year,” said Turkey’s Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu, APA-Economics reports citing Anadolu Agency.

According to the Minister, 396,778 tonnes of cargo transported through BTK railway and Middle Corridor with an increase of 104% in comparison with 2019.
