Job Title: Tech Prof-Completions, Sr

JOB CAPSULE

Under broad direction, provides Completion, Products & Services (CPS) job design, well support, and post job analysis to customers in designated area. Develops and maintains personal relationships with the technical customer base. Provides technical support on location as required by the customer or PSL. Interprets well site data in real time using complex technologies such as software simulators and the latest electrical and mechanical equipment, calculations, and modeling.
Solve on the spot issues remotely and occasionally at the well site. Assignments require sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional. Must be able to work independently. Functions as a communications link between customer, Business Development and Operations. Develop and mentor Associate Technical Professionals and Technical Professionals. Undergraduate degree required – acceptable degrees are: all engineering, Engineering Technology, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, & Chemistry with 3 yrs industry experience. Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.

• Developmental Assistance – ATPs and TPs.

Autonomy

Under broad direction: supervision received is usually centered around job results or methodologies used such as problem solving approaches, establishing broad parameters for projects, work organization, progress reports, etc. There may be occasional “General” or even “Direct” supervision.

Supervisory Responsibility of Job

Assists in supervising others. Provides basic job training and guidance on a regular basis; performs work of same or closely allied nature (includes coordinators).

Working Conditions

Working conditions infrequently involve some physical exertion, exposure to the elements or hazards inherent in the job which may include routine travel.

Physical Demand Statement

L-Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
