Toshiba Corp. and General Electric Co. are currently in talks over a potential joint production of equipment for offshore wind power generation, Nikkei reported on Monday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The negotiations are centered around the production of core turbine equipment that stores the generator and speed increaser, although the companies may expand their partnership to also include maintenance and operation services for the power generation equipment, the newspaper stated.

The joint manufacturing would reportedly be done at Toshiba’s Keihin Plant.
