Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Key Accountabilities Of Position:

HSE Management

• Maintains HSE focus within the team to ensure HSE requirements included in design and procurement.

• Demonstrate behavior and business practices commensurate with a culture of world’s best health, safety and environmental performance.

• Assist in developing, communicating, implementing and regularly review systems, strategies, standards and processes (including environmental plans or health management programs) that;

I. Minimize the potential impact of work activities or work sites managed by Worley on the environment

II. Manage the impact of work activities or work sites supervised by Worley on the environment

III. Manage recovery from environmental incidents

IV. Promote safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplaces and behavior, including workplaces not managed by Worley and behavior when not at work

V. Manage workplace illness and injury

VI. Acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge and awareness of the workplace environment to identify and manage work hazards and incidents.

Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to:

I. Personal well-being

II. Healthy and safe workplaces and activities; and

III. Continuously improve Worley health, safety and environmental performance.

Client Relationships
Establish, build and maintain good working client relationships.
Proactively resolve performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise.
Identify, document, communicate and meet the client’s requirements
Commercial Management
Effectively manage assigned budgets within Worley’ total scope
Scope Management
Ensure compliance with WPMP.
Ensure compliance with requirements of the contract.
Apply effective change control process.
Time Management
Contribute to the development of the overall project schedule.
Supervise work in accordance with the approved schedule
Cost Control
Monitor cost aspects of the project; within direct control to forecast final costs, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns.
Quality Management
Contribute to compliance with Worley policies and procedures.
Utilize, as appropriate, a strong working knowledge of Worley engineering and procurement systems and procedures.
Team Management
Focus relevant team members on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.
Listen to the team, discusses the issues, resolve problems and direct activities to achieve objectives.
Communications Management
Regularly provide clear reports to project management.
Effectively communicate with the design team and third parties.
Ensure accurate, timely and effective reporting to the Project Manager.
Risk Management
Monitor the closure of all identified risks and opportunities.
Design Management
Set clear objectives to the design team, including achieving productivity and budget targets.
Ensure the design team is aware of, and complies with, applicable regulations and codes.
Manage inter-discipline interfaces effectively.
Procurement/Subcontracts Management
Assess procurement processes throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and are within budget.

Experience
Required:

Substantial technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant discipline and previous experience in project engineering on smaller projects, with associated commercial and contractual experience.
Guide:
Approximately, 8 years industry knowledge and 2 to 3 years project engineering experience.
Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Required:
A recognized degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent qualification/experience.
Preferred:
Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline; management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.
Chartered Professional Engineer Status
Eligible for Certified Practicing Project Practitioner (CPPP) certification or equivalent
