Annual transportation capacity of Turkish-Nakhchivan gas pipeline to be 500 million cubic meters

Turkish-Nakchivan gas pipeline will be able to transport 500 million cubic meters gas during the year, said Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources in the ceremony of signing “the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the supply of natural gas from the Republic of Turkey to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, APA reports.

85 km pipeline from Igdir to Nakhchivan (Sadarak) will be constructed for this. The pipeline will be built with the joint  cooperation of SOCAR and “BOTASH” company of Turkey.

The gas will be supplied to the Turkey-Nakhchivan pipeline through TANAP.

Recall that now the gas supply of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is implemented on the basis of swap operations with Iran.
