Hackers tried to hijack the domain of the Vladivostok Sea Trade Port

On October 23, unidentified persons launched a hacker attack on the site of the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VMTP, part of the Fesco transport group) in order to seize the vmtp.ru domain. This is stated in the message of Fesco.
The group’s IT services successfully blocked an unauthorized access attempt. The systems and services of VMTP have not been compromised, at the same time, ongoing attacks are recorded that can lead to a temporary decrease in the domain’s performance, noted in Fesco. An appeal to law enforcement agencies is being prepared on the fact of the hacker attack,   TASS reports .General Director of VMTP Roman Kukharuk instructed to implement a set of measures to improve the cyber security of systems and services of Fesco and VMTP, in particular, to ensure the switching of information services of the portal to a protected segment deployed by the holding’s parent company, the press release says.
