Total Volume of Gas Exports from Shah Deniz Field Amounted to 86.5 Bcm

The export of Azerbaijani gas in January-September 2020 amounted to 9.6 billion cubic meters(bcm), an increase of 15.7% compared to the same period last year

According to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, 7.9 bcm (an increase of 21.3%) was supplied to Turkey and 1.7 bcm to Georgia during this period.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan produced 27.5 bcm of gas, which is 5.9% more than the same period last year.

SOCAR produced 5.5 bcm, the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block – 8.7 bcm of associated gas, and the Shah Deniz field – 13.3 bcmof natural gas.

The Ministry of Energy reports that from the start of development on November 7, 1997 to October 1, 2020, a total of 173.7 bcm of associated gas was produced from the ACG block, and the Shah Deniz field (from November 2006) produced 130.1 bcm of natural gas. Over the entire period, 86.5 bcm of gas wasexported from the Shah Deniz field.
