A QA/QC Mechanical Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all the activities and duties of the Subcontractors for all mechanical work activities, equipment, staff and ensures that everything is in proper working manner.
A QA/QC Mechanical Coordinator position is to make sure that all mechanical activities related piping works , rotating and static equipment fabrication , erection are within the set quality, also required to have advanced knowledge of the piping , rotating and static equipment process so that he can guide the inspectors and subcontractors when decisions must be made in order not to affect progress and ensure a high quality leave product fabricated.
Performs and supervise the inspectors for Visual, dimensional, rotation etc. Inspection of the piping fabricated based on AFC ISO drawing .
Performs and supervise the inspectors for Visual, dimensional, etc. Inspection of the equipment fabricated based on AFC drawing and last revision.
Reports Directly to QA/QC Manager about any Quality Deficiencies.
Check and ensure that all fabrication activities are performed with an IFC drawing and follow up if the subcontractor is working with the last revision.
Performs and supervise inspection for the base material used for the piping and equipment fabrication activities, ensure that the proper traceability and the material is the same one as stated in IFC drawing.
Review material certificates used for the fabrication of piping and equipment, ensure that material is the same one as stated in IFC drawing.
Perform daily survey at the material warehouse and control that the storage conditions are fulfilled.
Check and ensure that all pipes follow the color coding procedure.
Review and sign the inspection and test reports issued by Construction Contractor.
Review documentation (procedures, certificates, etc.) provided by Construction Contractor relevant to the scope of work under the responsibility of the inspector.
Perform daily survey report related to all the activities for pipework’s and equipment fabrication and ensure that all the activities are in accordance with the project specifications, procedures and the material data sheet.
Ensures Supervisors and Employees understand and adhere the Quality Control Program.
Ensure that Construction Contractor complies with the Project Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) performing all planned inspection activities and issuing the corresponding inspection and test reports
Ensure that subcontractor is updating all documents related to material
To continuously survey the Construction Contractor activities as per the inspection activities planned in the ITPs and applicable standards; to attend inspection and testing as per Project ITPs witness/hold points
Open and keep track of punches into punch list.
Revise the TEST PACK documentation.
Witness Hydro test.
Ensure that bolt torqueing is proper applied based on the project specifications, standards, procedures and equipment’s data sheet.
Ensure that all equipment are erected based on the project specifications, standards, procedures and the data sheet.
Collaborates with departments and external suppliers regarding Quality concerns.
Monitor workshop Activities to ensure conformance with applicable Standards, Policies, Procedures and/or Drawings Specifications.
Manage and Conduct Audits at subcontractor.
Reviews and Assists in product complaint investigations and assists inspectors with investigations.
Check the Maintains Equipment operation in the fab shop and calibration list.
Monitor Rejection rate and advise when improvement is required.
Liaise on daily basis with Client/Employer.
More than 10 years of experience in QA/QC;
More than 5 years of experience in refineries;
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Azerbaijani;
Excellent General IT Skills are required (Excel, Access, etc.);
The experience and ability to perform and handle all duties in Job Description.
