Job Title: E/I Production Engineer

Reports to Position: Construction Manager

JOB OBJECTIVE:

Accountable for accurate and consistent preparation and execution of the Electrical  project scope in line with the Project Schedule / Cost Estimate and Client / Project specifications / standards ensuring constructability is built into the design and ensuring the detail design is fabrication and installation friendly.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

  • Demonstrate Safety Leadership and be fully conversant with the Project HSE Plan
  • Interface with client / design teams ensuring constructability is considered during the design phase
  • Input into the project schedule and monitor design change assessing impact and register change with supporting documentation
  • Review detailed E/I construction work packs ensuring Safety / Engineering / material / plant & equipment and quality requirements are detailed
  • Ensure manning levels are reviewed / resourced in line with the construction schedule
  • Review weekly progress Report compiled by production / engineering teams prior to issuing to cost / planning department
  • Monitor / Influence productivity in line with the schedule
  • Address Engineering / Installation queries and revert with solutions
  • Ensure E/I Work packs are closed out and all required Drgs Red Line As Built
  • Monitor DMC handover dates in line with schedule and monitor update close out activities
  • Attend Progress / Planning / Handover meetings and input where required
  • Participate & Contribute in all HSE Campaigns, initiatives and safety meetings, as required
  • Assist other Disciplines (within Capability)

LEVEL OF INFLUENCE & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:

As delegated by Construction Manager in accordance with Competency Assessment.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in discipline

Minimum Experience:

  • 10 years experienced in an Electrical lead role with a proven technical background
  • Previous topsides build experience

  • Determination to achieve project & personal objectives and goals
  • Strong Safety Leadership Qualities
  • To produce required data input into the project reporting system using the base lined level 3 schedule and highlight potential problems
  • To be able to demonstrate methodical and logical steps in managing multiple work fronts
  • Self-motivated.

General:

Be able to interact with other disciplines and understand / manage SimOps

Discipline Specific:

Understand the Mechanical Completion Process (GOC Pro) and all associated documentation
