In January-June this year, the volume of cargo conducted in the Azerbaijani sector of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) made 21 million 687.1 thousand tons. Turnover was 4 billion 877.8 million tons/km.
According to the State Statistics Committee, this is 13.7% and 8% less than in the same period last year.
According to the report, 12 million 590.7 thousand tons (58.1%) of the load was carried by road, 6 million 515.1 thousand tons (30%) by rail, 2 million 581.3 thousand tons, or (11.9%) by sea.
Transit goods accounted for 20% or 4,332,000 tons of cargo transported through the corridor.
