Position: Subsea Workshop Fitter Lead Hand     

Minimum 15 years related field experience. At least 5-10 years in equivalent or level down management role.

Degree qualified/High Qualification

Subsea Workshop Fitter Lead Hand:

Current Roles & Responsibilities:

To undertake the refurbishment ,disassembly and building of equipment and pressure testing to satisfy the customer requirements observing product specifications, Quality , HS & E and all relevant industry standards

To Supervise and participate in the SIT / SRT of spool trees and completion equipment, maintenance, retrieval and where authorized, repair of Cameron production subsea systems together with ancillary equipment according to company and client procedures. Undertake Formal Assessment Activities of local subsea fitter Personnel. Ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

To carry out the assembly/refurbishment of components to the requirements stipulated on the route work sheets.

To carry out pressure testing to the approved standards.

To maintain and be responsible for the housekeeping of the work area.

To be responsible for ensuring all work is undertaken in a safe manner and in line with company health and safety guidelines/policies.

To diligently attend any training courses specified by the company.

To accurately book direct hours worked on the system in accordance with company procedures.

To review planned hours against Actual hours on route work sheets and timely notification of variances.

To assess each task on commencement of work and take decisions to stop or carry on with allocated work in line with Health and Safety guidelines/legislation.

Investigate and diagnose any deficiency which may impede efficient installation of the equipment and take the appropriate corrective action to resolve the situation.

Provide the customer’s representative with sufficient information and guidance to ensure safe and correct work task Completion.

Provide input to the Subsea Supervisor and/or Operations Manager regarding procedures and instigate

Any amendments which may be required by engineering.

Review procedures and drawings of equipment on a regular basis; carry out pre- use inspection of equipment (visual And written) by procedure. Undertake pre-task safety survey and necessary toolbox/site talks with client and local fitters prior to equipment being used.

Skills:

Leading the assigned local subsea workshop Fitter team pool onshore, the subsea workshop fitter lead hand will motivate, take accountability for actions taken and develop a good team approach.

The position within the Cameron organization requires not only an advanced technical understanding of our equipment, tooling and services but also comprehensive knowledge and strong training skills of the products in order to help advance training for our local Azeri subsea workshop fitters onshore on the extensive subsea equipment product range for the ACG & Shah – Deniz 2 subsea projects.

Incumbent will be supporting and mentoring Azeri Field Service Team on Cameron subsea equipment products and services during his duties onshore. His position he will report to the Project Operations Manager based in the Baku plant.

Incumbent has over 19 years of oil & gas industry experience directly with Cameron products and fully qualified trained in all operational aspects of our wide design range of subsea products.

Essential skills:

5 – 10 years experience in a service and/or lead workshop role biased towards mechanical fitting and hydraulic testing of subsea XT’s, TH’s and associated tooling.

Working knowledge of subsea product use and limitations.

Ability to work to deadlines.

Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills.

Problem solving ability.

Leadership skills to include ability to motivate colleagues & team members.

PC skills to include, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word & SAP knowledge preferable.

Have good foresight, initiative & ability to take accountability for their own actions and the team they are supervising.
