Principal Accountabilities:

  • Track and coordinate the progress of the project to ensure that the project is on-track;
  • Attend Site coordination meetings with Subcontractors periodically;
  • Coordinate (or supervise) the preparation of cost / time impact studies on variations to project to determine whether the claim is warranted;
  • Manage, provide and coordinate Project Controls activities including Cost Management and Change Control;
  • Ensure the contract Project Controls requirements are identified, understood and communicated to the Project Controls team, innovate the odd system if necessary;
  • Provide full support to Project Management in bid/tendering phase – clarify concerned issues with top management and bidders; analyze/review Commercial proposal of bidders;
  • Monitor/review Project progress reports, cost reports, monthly forecasts, annual budgets and cash flow;
  • Develop, monitor, regularly update, provide forecast and revise when necessary a series of schedules, prepared with CPM technique, from Level 1 to Level 4 as required, covering all phases of engineering and design & drafting (such as basic, front-end and detailed engineering), procurement, subcontracting, construction and commissioning with set of multi-disciplinary activities linked to one-another with added durations;
  • Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (W.B.S.) and Organization Breakdown Structure (O.B.S.) for assigned project;
  • Prepare Look Ahead Schedule for initial activities of assigned project;
  • Set-up and establish a progress measurement system for engineering, procurement, subcontracting and construction phases of the project to provide the progress status at each predefined cut-off date;
  • Compare actual progress at each predefined cut–off date with the planned values and detect any deviation if exists and analyze the cause and impact. Suggest corrective actions to the project team. Provide forecast;
  • Maintain record, have proper estimates prepared and evaluate the impact of changes on project schedules;
  • Prepare, issue and follow up of change order requests for assigned project(s);
  • Assisting other planning team members;
  • Assist cost control activities within the responsibilities of the project control department, when required.

Skills & Requirements:

  • University Degree in related Engineering Discipline;
  • 10 years of planning / scheduling experience in large-scale EPC projects;
  • Professional qualification, ideally degree in a technical discipline;
  • Advanced skills in Primavera P6;
  • Experience with Schedule Risk Analysis / Assessment;
  • Ability to apply Critical Path Method planning techniques to develop detail Engineering and Installation Project networks and schedules;
  • Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
