Training Center of the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) organized an online course.
Due to the strict quarantine regime imposed because of coronavirus pandemic, the theoretical part of the course “Familiarization, initial training and briefing on safety for all seafarers” was carried out online in accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers.
The trainer Javanshir Rajabli led the course, which was conducted from July 8 to 10. Among the participants were sailors of both the Offshore Fleet and the Transportation Fleet. The lessons were compiled in accordance with the requirements of the International Maritime Organization and conducted following the program approved by the State Maritime Agency.
The practical part of the course will be held regularly, and final exams will take place after the end of the special quarantine regime. Sailors who successfully complete the course will receive certificates.
