In January-February of 2020, 969,6 thousand tons of freight has been transported via sea transport in Azerbaijan, which is 5,3% less in comparison to the related period of the previous year, State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
According to the information, 39,8% of transported freights during the reporting period is oil freights.
“Loading and unloading works in the volume of 1541,7 thousand tons have been carried out by seaports and 1467,6 thousand tons or 95,2% of freights were transit cargos.”
According to the information, as of March 1, 2020, the volume of cargo remaining in ports was 39,6 thousand tons.
