Kazakhstan national railway company Temir Zholy has signed an agreement with Japanese logistics firm Nippon Express to strengthen cooperation.
At a meeting the two parties discussed the movement of containers through Kazakhstan as a way of reaching the countries of Eurasia.

Temir Zholy’s vice president Arman Sultanov said: “We can produce transshipment, processing and handling of goods on the dry port of the SEZ Khorgos – Eastern Gates, which significantly reduces the time of border operations and increase the speed of container trains.”
The meeting between Arman Sultanov and Nippon Express executive officer Sugiyama Tatsuo was held in Kazakhstan’s capital city Astana on August 15.
