Five killed as tourist boat sinks in southern Thailand

    Five people drowned in southern Thailand after a boat that was ferrying them to islands in the Gulf of Siam for diving, sank, official sources said Thursday, according to EFE agency.

    The accident occurred Wednesday night near the islands of Ngam and Kalok, in waters of the Chumphon province, about 400 kilometers (249 miles) south of Bangkok.
