Oil transportation through the Atyrau–Samara trunk pipeline has been temporarily suspended following an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on facilities of the Samara production and dispatch hub.
Sea-news.az reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, that the strike occurred overnight on November 2. Consequently, oil shipments along the route were halted. Relevant engineering services are currently assessing the technical state of the infrastructure.
“The intake of oil along this line is expected to resume in the near future,” the ministry statement noted.
The ministry added that the situation remains under control and further updates will be provided.
