A cruise liner is scheduled to begin operating between Moscow and Baku in the near future.
Oxu.Az reports that this was stated by Adam Khakimov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan.
Speaking in an interview with the “Voennaya Priemka” program on the “Zvezda” TV channel, Khakimov announced plans to launch a cruise line along the Moscow–Baku route shortly.
According to the Trade Representative, the round-trip waterway voyage will last 14 days in total: seven days northbound and seven days southbound. Khakimov added that these maritime journeys will be conducted onboard luxury-class vessels.
The initiative is backed by direct state funding, with ship construction subsidized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
“Currently, one vessel is fully operational, while the construction of two additional ships is nearing completion. If this project proves successful, we hope to deploy the other two vessels on the Baku route as well,” the representative emphasized.
