Staff members of the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy (ASMA) participated in the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, held in Baku on October 27–28, 2026.

Sea-news.az reports that the Forum, themed “Dialogue for a Shared Future: Building Bridges in a Fractured World,” brings together delegates, representatives of international organizations, scholars, and experts from various countries, serving as a key platform for discussing intercultural and interfaith dialogue, strengthening mutual understanding, and expanding international cooperation. The Forum is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, UNESCO, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and the UN World Tourism Organization.

As part of the Forum, ASMA personnel—Gulchohra Aliyeva, Nasir Huseynov, Babir Guliyev, Ilgar Abdullayev, Natalya Fatyanova, Zaur Aziz, Samira Gozalova, and Alihuseyn Haziyev—joined sessions hosted at the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and ADA University.

Participation in the Forum holds strategic value for representing ASMA on international scientific and public platforms and promoting mutual respect and cooperation across diverse cultures. Such events support the expansion of higher education institutions’ international partnerships, facilitate dialogue on pressing global issues, and foster a culture of dialogue within academic communities.
