Another supertanker has struck a mine while attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz.
Sea-news.az reports citing foreign media, that this was announced by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
It was reported that the supertanker, which had turned off its navigation systems, struck a mine while attempting to exit the Strait of Hormuz via an alternative southern route. The impact caused an explosion in its engine room. Following the blast, the tanker was unable to continue its voyage.
