An oil tanker carrying 750,000 barrels of crude oil has struck a sea mine in the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in a fire on board.
Sea-news.az reports the incident was reported by the press service of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
As reported by the “Tasnim” news agency, the tanker struck the mine after attempting to navigate an unauthorized route despite warnings from the IRGC. This marks the third tanker to hit a sea mine in the Strait of Hormuz on October 11.
