It is reported that the US Navy group continuing operational missions near Iran currently consists of more than 20 warships.

Sea-news.az reports citing the press service of the US Naval Institute, that two aircraft carriers—USS George Bush and USS George Washington—are on combat duty in the Arabian Sea, southeast of the Iranian coast. These vessels carry a combined total of over 100 fighter jets, as well as electronic warfare and airborne early warning aircraft.

Alongside the aircraft carriers, 10 destroyers equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles are reportedly stationed in the region, including in the Gulf of Oman east of the Strait of Hormuz. The flight range of these missiles is approximately 1,600 kilometers.

An amphibious ready group comprising three large amphibious assault ships is also conducting missions in the Gulf of Oman. The group includes the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit consisting of approximately 2,200 personnel, as well as two squadrons of F-35 vertical takeoff and landing fighters, tiltrotor aircraft, attack and transport helicopters, and landing craft.

It is noted that two additional guided-missile destroyers are positioned in the Red Sea, while one cruiser and three destroyers are deployed in the Indian Ocean.

Furthermore, the US Navy Task Force operating near Iran includes the USS Miguel Keith, which serves as an expeditionary sea base.

According to reports, the majority of the vessels are currently participating in the naval blockade of Iranian ports.
