An oil tanker attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz without authorization from the Iranian government has been struck.
Sea-news.az reports citing Fars News Agency, that the tanker was damaged as a result of the incident.
According to reports, Iranian forces struck the vessel after it attempted to pass through the strait without permission.
Further details regarding the incident have not been disclosed. Iran has dispatched a vessel to the area to evacuate injured personnel from the tanker.
