Iran has presented a seven-day plan to the United States aimed at restoring normal shipping operations in the Strait of Hormuz.

Sea-news.az reports “The New York Times” disclosed this information.

According to the report, under the plan submitted by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the seven-day period will commence as soon as the United States accepts the proposed conditions.

If the terms are fulfilled, the plan foresees the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the resumption of talks with Washington on the seventh day.

Araghchi stated that Iran remains committed to ensuring free and safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, restoring security in the strait through military operations is impossible.

According to the report, Iran’s plan also envisages the resumption of negotiations regarding its nuclear program.
