Near 100 commercial vessels rerouted

U.S. military forces have diverted approximately 100 commercial vessels over the past 60 days following the reimposition of the maritime blockade in response to actions by Iran.

Sea-news.az reports that the update was officially published by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) via its official account on the X social media platform.

“CENTCOM forces have diverted 100 commercial vessels over the past 60 days following the U.S. re-establishment of the blockade,” the statement read.

CENTCOM emphasized that U.S. naval forces are continuing their active operations aimed at maintaining and enforcing the blockade. Analysts note that these ongoing route adjustments and maritime restrictions are compounding logistical pressures on regional shipping lanes and global commercial navigation.
