A supertanker failing to navigate along the routes designated by Iran has struck sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in a fire onboard.

Sea-news.az reports citing IRIB, that this was announced in a statement by the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

“A rule-violating supertanker has collided with two marine mines, and a fire has broken out,” the IRGC stated.

The IRGC Navy warned that vessels violating the security regulations of the Strait of Hormuz will face a similar fate.
