An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been spotted in the sea near the Zonguldak province on Turkey’s Black Sea coast.
Sea-news.az reports that citing the İHA agency, that the origin of the drone remains unknown at this time.
According to reports, fishermen spotted the UAV in the water near the port of Alapli and immediately notified local authorities. Coast guard forces were swiftly dispatched to the scene, and the drone was safely neutralized. As a precautionary security measure, the port area was temporarily closed.
In recent times, fragments of UAVs, including devices equipped with explosives, have repeatedly been discovered in Turkey’s Black Sea coastal provinces.
