The Strait of Hormuz has been completely cleared of mines.
Sea-news.az reports that Admiral Bradley Cooper, Commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), announced this in a video message published on the social media platform X.
The military commander stated that U.S. forces successfully neutralized the sea mines previously laid by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) along international commercial shipping routes several months ago.
Shortly before this announcement, U.S. President Donald Trump declared that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open for navigation, emphasizing that Washington maintains control over the waterway and its transit corridors.
