An agreement has been reached between Iran and Oman to ensure the safety of vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

Sea-news.az reports that this was stated by Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei.

“Over the past two weeks, an agreement has been reached on the vessel movement scheme. Since determining the route is a technical task encompassing security and environmental factors, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alongside the defense system and other relevant agencies, has participated in the process. Once the joint statement is finalized, the public will be informed,” he stated.

Baghaei also added that the main cause of instability in the Strait of Hormuz is the unlawful actions and interventions of the United States.
