Greek shipowner “W Marine” has expanded its new shipbuilding program by placing an order in China for the construction of three 64,500 DWT “Ultramax” type bulk carriers.
Sea-news.az reports citing Seanews.az, that the company has reportedly ordered ships with hull numbers DJHC6601, DJHC6602, and DJHC6603 at the “Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry” shipyard. The vessels are planned for delivery in May, August, and November 2028, respectively.
The financial value of the order has not been disclosed.
With this order, “W Marine’s” newbuilding portfolio has reached five ships. Additionally, the company is having two feeder container ships with a capacity of 1,800 TEU, scheduled for delivery in 2028, built at the “Huanghai Shipbuilding” shipyard.
