Cargo transportation from Iran to Qatar’s Al-Ruwais port has resumed after an approximately five-month hiatus.

According to sea-news.az citing the RIA Novosti agency, this information was shared by Abbas Abdolkhani, Iran’s trade advisor in Doha.

According to his statement, the Qatari port of Al-Ruwais has begun accepting Iranian goods once again.

Abdolkhani noted that this was achieved as a result of coordination with the Qatari government.

The diplomat emphasized that the port of Al-Ruwais is one of the country’s primary transport hubs for importing products into its domestic market. According to him, the restoration of the logistics chain will contribute to reduced shipping costs, shorter delivery times, and an increase in overall trade turnover.
