The “Russia-China Joint Sea 2026” exercises will be held in the Yellow Sea from July 6 to July 13 of this year.

According to sea-news.az citing international media, the navies of Russia and China, supported by naval aviation, will refine joint search-and-rescue operations, demonstrate anti-submarine warfare and air defense practices, and conduct joint artillery firing drills.

The first joint naval exercises involving the Russian and Chinese fleets were organized in the Yellow Sea in August 2005. Since 2012, specialized annual naval exercises named “Joint Sea,” which aim to further strengthen the combat readiness of Russia and China to jointly counter maritime threats outside the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, have been held.
