A commercial vessel has run aground in the Strait of Hormuz and is unable to continue its journey. Reports indicate the incident was caused by the ship navigating a route not coordinated with the Iranian side.

According to sea-news.az which cites Al Jazeera, the extent of the damage to the ship and the surrounding environment has not yet been fully determined.

It is noted that the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reiterated its warnings to international shipping companies against the backdrop of the tense military-political situation in the region. The IRGC has reminded ship captains, owners, and maritime operators worldwide that, to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, navigation routes must be coordinated in advance with the Iranian side.
