Sharks have approached one of the local beaches in Russia’s Primorsky Krai.
According to sea-news.az citing the “Shot” Telegram channel, at least two sharks have been spotted in Triozyerye Bay, a popular destination among tourists. One of them was seen in close proximity to a person paddleboarding.
Residents report that this is the first time sharks have been seen so close to the shore, and they are hesitant to swim in the water. Nevertheless, there are currently no plans to close the beach season in the region.
According to experts, a sharp rise in seawater temperature and an increase in the tuna population during this summer season have caused the sharks to swim closer to the shore.
