On the occasion of the June 25 “Day of the Seafarer” professional holiday, the management and collective of the State Maritime and Port Agency (SMPA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport paid tribute to the dear memory of the National Leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, at the Alley of Honor and laid bouquets of flowers before his grave.
According to sea-news.az the Agencys employees also honored the memory of the prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva with respect, arranging fresh flowers on her grave.
Subsequently, visiting the Alley of Martyrs, the seafarers commemorated the memory of the heroic sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including the seafarers who rose to the peak of martyrdom in the First Karabakh War, and placed bouquets of flowers upon their graves.
