The state corporation Rostec plans to determine the conditions for a possible entry into the Delo Group only after decisions are made under a so-called “Russian roulette” procedure.
According to sea-news.az citing statements by Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the two main shareholders of the Delo Group—Sergey Shishkarev (51%) and the state corporation Rosatom (49%)—must first finalize their internal agreement.
Only after that will Rostec consider the terms of a possible stake in the company.
“We had an understanding that the Delo Group should reach certain decisions with Rosatom, and once they define their relationship, we will consider the conditions for entering the group,” Chemezov said.
He also noted that Rostec is interested in acquiring approximately a 25% stake.
According to reports, the agreement between Rosatom and Shishkarev based on a “Russian roulette” mechanism is expected to be finalized by the end of June. Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev stated that the final decision currently rests with Shishkarev, while the state corporation is prepared for any scenario.
It is also noted that Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has approved applications by Rosatom’s subsidiary Atomenergoprom and Sergey Shishkarev for the potential acquisition of up to 100% of shares in the Delo Group.
