A small passenger boat carrying several people capsized on the Ob River in Russia’s Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
According to sea-news.az the information was released by the press service of the Central Interregional Investigative Directorate for Transport of the Russian Investigative Committee.
The statement noted that on the morning of June 5, a small vessel with eight passengers on board overturned on the Ob River in the Oktyabrsky District.
The number of fatalities and injuries resulting from the incident is currently being clarified.
A criminal case has been opened under the article concerning violations of safety regulations governing the operation and movement of water transport vehicles. Law enforcement authorities are investigating the causes of the accident and other circumstances surrounding the incident.
